TP Mazembe, like Mamelodi Sundowns, have reportedly rejected Al Ahly's request to play their CAF Champions League semi-final in the evening.

Remarkably, with the 16 Champions League titles the two sides have between them, they have only played each other four times in Africa's premier club competition.
Fifth and sixth meetings loom for the continental titans as they are set to contest in the CAFCL semi-finals later this month.
The first leg of their final four clash is set to be held in Lubumbashi at the Stade TP Mazembe, and according to Al-Masry Al-Youm, the Red Devils have requested that the match be played in the evening instead of the scheduled 15:00 (CAT) kick-off time, but the Ravens are believed to have rejected this.
For the first leg of their quarter-final clash against Simba SC at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, the Club of the Century kicked off against the Reds of Msimbazi at 20:00 (CAT), but Mazembe will not be offering their opponents the same courtesy.
This is not a phenomenon that is unfamiliar with Ahly, though. When they travel to South Africa to face Sundowns, they have often encountered afternoon starting times.
On the past six occasions the record Egyptian champions have travelled to the South African capital in both the Champions League and the African Football League since 2019, the latest kick-off time was 15:00 (CAT).

Sundowns are undefeated in those six matches, winning four times and drawing twice, so perhaps Mazembe will be hoping for a similar competitive advantage when they face Marcel Koller's side later this month.
