Orlando Pirates' Evidence Makgopa is understood to be recovering and could be ready for the team's next match, according to insiders.
Makgopa was again a notable absentee as Pirates defeated second tier outfit Hungry Lions 4-0 on Saturday to advance to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup.

Since getting injured against Polokwane City in the league, the Bafana Bafana striker has missed three matches against Cape Town Spurs, Kaizer Chiefs and Polokwane, respectively, and his contribution has been missed by the team.
However, with Bucs' next match scheduled for March 30 against Sekhukhune United, Makgopa will be expected to be one of the players to make the team for that fixture as he is said to be doing well in his recovery.

"He is doing well and should be ready for the next match later this month. The injury isn't as bad as it was initially feared. The international break should be enough to allow him to recover and he should be ready to continue where he left off when the season resumes. He remains a important member of the squad," said the source.
