According to SB Nation, attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz has decided to represent the Atlas Lions on the international stage.
The 24-year-old has long been pursued by Morocco, but has previously held out hope for more regular game time for the Spanish national team.
Diaz made his debut for La Furia Roja under Luis de la Fuente in 2021, scoring a goal in a 4-0 win over Lithuania, but has not been called up again since that same year.
Morocco are reportedly set to name the player in their squad for friendlies against Angola and Mauritania later this month.
The ex-Manchester City youth player qualifies to play for the north African giants through his Moroccan father, while his mother was born in Spain.
