Orlando Pirates could be exercising the one-year option on their goalkeeper as his current contract is running out at the end of the season, the Siya crew has been informed.
Siya sources close to the club and privy to information have indicated that Pirates are making sure that they keep all their experienced players including their goalkeepers, in particular Richard Ofori.

The sources have added that Bucs still believe in their Ghanaian star and that he has a lot to offer the club despite his lack of appearance this season.
"It's as good as done. It's the club that makes the decision on exercising the option and they have agreed that for all departments from the technical team to management," said the Siya source.
"They have reached an agreement that he needs to stay on for yet another year which was added to his contract when he extended last season for one year and another one-year option. As it stands now it's as good as done," the source observed.
A second Siya source stated that Ofori's experience in Africa is vital and that the club needs him for Caf competitions.
"The team needs three or four experienced goalkeepers and he is one of them. He may not be playing locally but when the team goes to Africa they will need him. They are fighting to go back to play in the Champions League and they will need all the experienced players and he is one of them. So, the contract extension is to keep him for those reasons," the second Siya source added.
Even though Ofori has been out of the Pirates team domestically this season, he had represented the Ghana national team during the recent Afcon in the Ivory Coast.
Soccer Laduma contacted Pirates for comment but no response was received by the time this story was published.
