A former Kaizer Chiefs player has given his thoughts on who Amakhosi can sign for next season, with the hope that they will have a coach to get the best out of them.
Amakhosi are guaranteed to finish another season without a trophy in the cabinet, after they were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by Motsepe Foundation Championship side Milford FC. They are 17 points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns in the DSTV Premiership and have played one more game than the Tshwane giants.

Former Chiefs defender Mokete Tsotetsi feels the Soweto giants should start planning for next season and has identified three individuals who would make a difference at Naturena. Amakhosi are expected to bring in a new coach, with interim Cavin Johnson set to return to his role as head of academy.
"It's a tricky one because we don't know if Chiefs will continue with Johnson or they will bring in another coach. But I think (Khanyisa) Mayo can be on of the players. I think he would add a lot of value in the striking force. We know he can score goals, which is important.
Mayo is, in fact, a player Amakhosi have been eyeing, but have not been able to secure his signature. Indications are that the Soweto giants are still interested in him and could have another go at trying to bring him on board.
The other two players Tsotetsi feels Chiefs should sign were at the Africa Cup of Nations not so long ago in Ivory Coast.
OPINION: What Chiefs Can Learn From Jordan
(Oswin) Appollis is a skillful winger. He is a quality player and can add value to the Chiefs. The Nigerian goalkeeper, (Stanley) Nwabali, is someone they should also look at. He was at AFCON and did well. He will add a lot of value to the team. Those are the players Chiefs can look at in terms of reinforcing for next season."
