A new six-part docuseries, which follows the partners of high-profile stars from Arsenal, Everton, Manchester City and Nottingham Forest is set to premier this week.
Similar to Showmax's offering "Sports Wives" Amazon's "Married to the Game" shows a different side to football stars, mainly through the perspective the WAGs (Wives Girlfriends).

EPL WAGs get their own reality TV show
The Premier League's most popular WAGs will be starring in Amazon Prime's new documentary series, "Married to the Game."
The upcoming series will give viewers a good look into what life is like for the partners of top ballers from Arsenal, Everton, Manchester City and Nottingham Forest.

It's set to launch this Friday on Amazon Prime Video and will get up close and personal into the luxuries lives of the WAGs during the European summer break and transfer window.
The story of the show will be told through the eyes of a cast of strong and independent WAGs, who balance their own careers, ambitions and large social media followings while supporting their partners' demanding careers.
The cast includes Italian model and TV presenter Sara Gündogan, who is married to Barcelona midfielder and former Manchester City captain Ilkay Gündogan; personal trainer Sam Tarkowski, married to Everton centre-back James Tarkowski; model Taylor Ward, married to Al-Ahli and former Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez; business owner and aspiring singer Cat Harding, who is the fiancée of Arsenal midfielder Jorginho and lastly, former NFL cheerleader Ash Turner, the wife of Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matt Turner.

Football fans from all spectrums enjoy getting a behind-the-scenes look into the lives of their favourite football stars and also their partners.
Locally, Shauwn Mkhize's reality TV show, "Kwa Mam'Mkhize" share glimpses of how decisions are made at Royal AM and it terms of following the personal lives of current and retired ballers, Showmax also launched the show "Sports Wives."
"Sport Wives" follows the lives of six women involved with South African sporting stars and premiered in early December 2023.
The reality show gives you a front-row seat into the lives of the wives, girlfriends and exes of these sporting greats, such as:
Banking app manager and mother of two Bomzi September, who is married to ex-footballer Thabo September; sports manager, masseuse and lecturer Christa Kgamphe-Jane, married to Banyana Banyana star Refiloe Jane; Yummy Mummy Apparel owner Dipuo Maloi, who has children by Andile Jali and Lantshene Phalane; Tsholo Makgalemele-Mbane, who is married to Banyana Banyana baller Bambanani Mbane; and shore excursion officer Sisanda Cetyiwe, who has a baby with Kennedy Mweene.
