Man Utd Suffer Back-To-Back Losses, Real Win 5-Goal Thriller

Group A

Manchester United 2-3 Galatasaray

Manchester United suffered back-to-back losses in the group stages after losing 3-2 to Galatasaray at Old Trafford.

The Reds got the breakthrough in the 17th minute quick counter-attack ended with Marcus Rashford crossing for Rasmus Hojlund to head home from close range.

The visitors weren't behind for too long as former United winger Wilfried Zaha brought Galatasaray level with his first goal in the tournament.

United restored their lead in 68th minute when Hojlund took full advantage of Davidson Sanchez to race clear and slot home but six minutes later, the visitors levelled through Muhammed Kerem Aktürkoglu.

Things turned sour for the hosts when Galatasaray were awarded a penalty and Casemiro was shown a red card, but Mauro Icardi sent his spot-kick wide of the mark in the 78th minute.

Three minutes later, Icardi had the final say as the Argentine striker calmly lobbed Andre Onana after Sanchez's powerful header played him through on goal.

FC Copenhagen 1-2 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich moved to the top of Group A with a come-from-behind 2-1 win over FC Copenhagen.

The home side surpised the visitors in the 55th minute when Lukas Lerager opened the scoring on the night.

Jamal Musiala brought Bayern back on level terms on 67 minutes, before Mathys Tel grabbed the winning goal with seven minutes left on the clock.

Group B

RC Lens 2-1 Arsenal

Arsenal suffered their first defeat of the season after losing 2-1 to RC Lens.

The Gunners went inside 14 minutes when Gabriel Jesus bagged his second goal of the competition, before Lens levelled matters through Adrien Thomasson on 25 minutes.

Sepe Wahi proved to be the hero for the French side after scoring the winner in the 69th minute.

PSV Eindhoven 2-2 Sevilla

PSV Eindhoven and Sevilla settled for a share of the spoils after playing to a 2-2 draw on Tuesday night.

Nemanja Gudelj and Youssef En-Nesyri netted for the visitors, while Luuk de Jong and Jordan Teze got the goals for the Dutch side.

Group C

Napoli 2-3 Real Madrid

Real Madrid maintained their winning start after defeating Napoli 3-2 in Naples.

The Serie A champions took the lead on 19 minutes through Leo Ostigard's strikem but were pegged back on 27 minutes through Vinicius' equaliser.

Jude Bellingham, who got the assist, put Los Blancos ahead ten minutes before the break.

Piotr Zielinski equalised for Napoli after the break from the penalty spot but an own goal Alex Meret gave Los Blancos victory in the 76th minute.

Union Berlin 2-3 Braga

Sporting Braga got their first win after edging Union Berlin 3-2 on Wednesday evening.

The hosts raced into a two-goal lead in the first half thanks to a brace from Sander Becker.

However, the Portuguese side hit back through Sikou Niakate, Bruma and a stoppage-time winner from Castro.

Group D

Red Bull Salzburg 0-2 Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad claimed their first win in the group stages after defeating Salzburg 2-0 at the Red Bull Arena.

Mikel Oyarzabal opened the scoring on seven minutes, before Brais Mendez bagged the visitors' second goal in the 27th minute.

Inter Milan 1-0 Benfica

Inter Milan got their first win after defeating Benfica 1-0 at the San Siro on Tuesday night.

Marcus Thuram got the game's only goal in the 62nd minute after being set up by Denzel Dumfries.
