The four-time FIFA World Cup winners have announced the appointment of Julian Nagelsmann who becomes the new man in charge of Die Mannschaft and the 13th head coach in the country's history. The 36-year-old has severed all ties with Bayern Munich as he succeeds Flick for the second successive position.

The ex-RB Leipzig boss will take charge of Germany only until the end of the 2024 UEFA European Championships, which the country is hosting.
Nagelsmann is rumoured to have taken a significant pay cut in order to make the appointment a reality, as he was still contracted to the Bavarian giants despite being dismissed towards the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
This is the Landsberg am Lech native's first attempt at taking on national team responsibilities, having exclusively coached in the Bundesliga in the past with Hoffenheim, RB Leipzig and Bayern.
