Man Utd 'Send' First Official Bid For Next Target

Man Utd 'Send' First Official Bid For Next Target

Having already secured the services of Mason Mount and Andre Onana, Manchester United have now reportedly sent an opening bid for their next transfer target.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils have made a verbal offer of €50 million (R976 million), plus €10 million (R195 million) in add-ons, to Atalanta for prodigious young talent Rasmus Hojlund.

The Serie A side is believed to want a fee in the region of €70 million (R1.3 billion) for the attacker, but talks remain ongoing and there is optimism that a deal can be struck.

Earlier in the window, it was reported that United and the Denmark international had agreed personal terms, but now with the new Premier League season just a few weeks away, it seems the record English champions are keen to find a resolution as soon as possible.

Despite the Scandinavian having only played 32 top-flight matches in Serie A, United manager Erik ten Hag appears to believe Hojlund can offer the club what they need going forward.

However, the English giants have so far been decisive in their transfer strategy and if La Dea ponder the bid for too long, the Dutch tactician may look elsewhere for reinforcements.

According to The Athletic, Eintracht Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani and Ajax Amsterdam's Mohammed Kudus are other attacking options Ten Hag has in mind for the Mancunians, but as things stand, Hojlund is said to be his top priority.
