According to German journalist Christian Falk, prospective Manchester United owner Sheikh Jassim, who is currently waiting to hear back from the Red Devils on his latest bid to buy the club, would launch an audacious bid for Mbappe if he takes over from the Glazers.
The Saudi Arabian billionaire is in the running alongside British businessman Sir Jim Ratcliffe, amid reports that the Glazer family could make their decision before the end of the 2022/23 season.
It is suggested that Mbappe would become an immediate target for Jassim if his bid is successful, while the report claims he will also move for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga and Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman.
Mbappe has a deal in France until the end of the 2023/24 campaign and is reportedly willing to leave the club for free, with Los Blancos also linked with his signature.
The 24-year-old went close to leaving the Ligue 1 champions in 2022 before deciding to commit to a new contract in Paris, surprising those in Madrid who had anticipated his arrival.
