The decision comes after the Knights of Najd dropped two points in the league to midtable Al-Fayha last weekend, losing further ground in their chase for the league championship.

Having signed the Madeira native to a record-setting £173 million (R3.9 billion) contract at the beginning of 2023, the pressure around the Riyadh-based club will likely have escalated exponentially to end their four-year league title drought.
While Ronaldo has been performing individually, bagging 11 goals in 12 appearances, the team has relinquished top spot in the Saudi Pro League to Al-Ittihad club since the Portugal international's arrival.
The club has now promoted their U19 coach, Dinko Jelicic, to first-team responsibilities as the Saudi giants look to return to the summit of the log with seven matches left to play.
