Bafana Legend Takes Up Exhilarating New Hobby

Bafana Bafana legendary defender Mark Fish has been adventurous in his new hobby of skydiving.

What's the story?

Although he's long called time on his footballing career, Mark Fish is still using sport to keep his heart racing.

The Orlando Pirates and Jomo Cosmos legend has taken to skydiving and has embarked on two jumps since his birthday last month.

Mark Fish the skydiver

There are various places in South Africa where people can try their hands at some of the the best sky diving experiences on the continent according to traveltriangle.com.

Different places showcase different types of views with places like Cape Town, Grahamstown, Plettenberg Bay, Johannesburg, Knysna, Mossel Bai, Melkbosstrand and Durban, where Mark Fish has been enjoying some daring but scenic jumps. 

The 031 offers beautiful views of its famous beaches, tons of greenery and other notable landmarks for any skydiver who's seeking a thrilling but also visually pleasing skydive.

Mark Fish has enjoyed two jumps since his 49th birthday last month at the Durban Skydive Centre who do skydives seven days a week and conduct bookings every hour from 9 am until 2 pm.

The Durban Skydive Centre breaks down what Fish most likely went through for his adventurous dive:

"After you have completed the 15 minute ground training we take a scenic aircraft ride up to jump altitude with views from the coast to the Drakensburg . You are then firmly attached to a qualified and experienced tandem instructor. We exit the aircraft together and free fall for an exhilarating and unforgettable 25-40 seconds.

"Then we float to earth under the parachute. During the 5 minute parachute decent you get the opportunity to fly the parachute. The instructor will take over for the landing," adds the Skydive Centre, who are convinced that the former Lazio and Charlton Athletic is hooked on the extreme activity:
