Lyle & Fagrie's Obsession With LA-Inspired Streetwear Brand

Lyle & Fagrie's Obsession With LA-Inspired Streetwear Brand

Streetwear enthusiasts Lyle Lakay and Fagrie Lakay are heavily drawn towards the designs of one of the best contemporary fashion brands, Palm Angels.

Check it out!

What's the story?

Lyle Lakay and Fagrie Lakay not only share a last name but also similar taste in their luxury streetwear garments.

The two drippy ballers show immense appreciation towards the Palm Angels brand, which is now known as one of the biggest contemporary fashion brands in the world.

Let's take a closer look at why Lyle and Fagrie rock with this international brand...

Lyle Fagrie's Palm Angels obsession

A lot of the flashy, fashion forward DStv Premiership ballers tend to don well-known luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Gucci, and not fully embracing the other wavy clothing brand within their affordability range.

Lyle and Fagrie are on their own Palm Angels wave. The duo may not be related but could easily be regarded as style cousins for their taste in Palm Angels.

Palm Angels was founded in 2015 by italian designer Francesco Ragazzi, who was heavily inspired by Los Angeles' skate and cannabis sub-culture's when he kickstarting the brand through a Coffee Table book.

As per Forbes, Ragazzi combines Italian tailoring with laid-back California vibes in his Palm Angels designs.

The mood the brand transmits comes in the form of hoodies, palm tree logos, Rastafarian color palettes, casually tailored suits, oversized fits, and the occasional cannabis motif.

As stated by Forbes, Palm Angels is more street and less snob, compared to other Italian powerhouse brands like Fendi and Gucci.

Both Lyle and Fagrie emanate the brand's intended vibe when donning their waviest items.

Yesterday, Cape Town City posted a pre-training snap of Lalas wearing a Palm Angels tee and shorts, with one of his Nike SB Dunks. Wearing the brand exactly how its creator intended, casual and laid-back:

Fagrie Lakay also understands the Palm Angels assignment:
