A Manchester City star reportedly wants a move to Barcelona because of manager Pep Guardiola and striker Erling Haaland.
Liverpool 'Make' Bombshell Decision About Salah's Future
Haaland has been in otherworldly form this season. His strike against Bournemouth on the weekend was his 27th in the league, matching the best-ever goal tally from a City player in a Premier League campaign despite there still being 13 more games to play.
A consequence of the Norwegian's sparkling form is that other attackers at the club have got less of a look-in to the City forward line, with one of them being Julian Alvarez.
The Argentine has started only 13 games under Guardiola this season, and it appears the forward would like a more prominent role at this point in his career.
According to TyC Sports, despite joining the eight-time English champions at the beginning of the season, the 23-year-old is already open to leaving the Etihad Stadium and making his way to the Camp Nou.
Barcelona are also rumoured to be in the market for a successor for 34-year-old Robert Lewandowski.
While the Poland marksman continues to find the back of the net at a world-class rate in spite of his age, the Blaugrana seem to already be planning for the future.
The Catalan giants are still suffering economically and, as a result, are unlikely to make an official bid for Alvarez, but are reportedly hoping a loan deal for the forward can be negotiated with the reigning Premier League champions.
Man Utd To Make Ronaldo 'Decision' After Cup Win
The Calchin native already has 10 goals in 30 games for the Citizens, and his four goals for Argentina at the 2022 FIFA World Cup will have given him confidence that he could start at any top club in Europe.
