With Ronaldinho having recently said that his son will sign for Barcelona following a successful trial, here is the latest on the 18-year-old's future.
Ronaldinho Son's Makes Debut For Barcelona
After going on trial with the Spanish giants in January, reports suggested that Joao Mendes was set to pen a deal with the Catalan club.
Ronaldinho seemed to confirm that his 18-year-old son would become a Barcelona player, and had his words echoed by president Joan Laporta, who has an excellent relationship with the ex-Brazil international.
Mendes later made his first appearance in Barcelona colours with a mixture of the Juvenil A and B team in a match against Manchester United's academy.
Mundo Deportivo reports, however, that the left-footed attacker is yet to actually sign a contract with the Blaugrana, leaving his future at the club in question.
The publication further claims that Mendes struggled in that game against the Red Devils, with it said that he, at times, battled to keep up with the pace of the encounter.
Barca Make Decision On Ronaldinho's Son After Trial
Barcelona's Juvenil A team will take on Juventus in the UEFA Youth League this week, but it is reported that Ronaldinho's son is unlikely to play a part in the match.
