In January, it was widely reported that the legendary footballer's 17-year-old son Joao Mendes was set to go on trial at the Blaugrana, the club at which his dad became known as one of the best players of all time.
The teenager was training with Barca's Juvenil A side earlier this year following his departure from Cruzeiro, whom he had represented since he was 14 years old.
In a recent interview, Ronaldinho has since confirmed that Mendes will sign for the Spanish giants.
