Having scored the winning goal in his side's 1-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday, Harry Kane has become Tottenham Hotspur's all-time leading goalscorer.
A victory over the reigning Premier League champions in any season is significant, but Spurs' victory over Pep Guardiola's men on Sunday evening was especially noteworthy as their talisman surpassed Jimmy Greaves after netting his 267th goal for the club to become their all-time leading marksman.
The England captain levelled Greaves' record during Spurs' 1-0 win over Fulham in January and now is outright at the top following his 15th-minute strike against the Citizens in the Premier League at the weekend.
"It's quite surreal, a magical feeling to do it in front of the home fans and to win the game, I wanted to do it at this special place and in front of these amazing fans," Kane said, as per ESPN
Furthermore, Kane has become the fastest player to reach 200 Premier League goals, achieving his impressive record in just 304 league games, beating the likes of Wayne Rooney and Alan Shearer to the milestone.
"I've been here since I was 11 and it's been a lot of hard work and sacrifice and dedication," he added.
"I remember my first Premier League game and now to reach 200 Premier League goals it's hard to take it in but when I'm older and look back it will be something I'm very proud of.
"Jimmy was one of the best strikers ever to play the game so to go above him is a dream come true."
