Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be in the market for a traditional striker to compete with Burundian forward Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana.
Bimenyimana was recruited after undergoing a three-week assessment at Chiefs in the off-season but his official signing was delayed, as he missed a few matches of the season.
The Burundian hit the ground running after eventually being cleared to play, netting six goals in six league appearances, before his niggling groin injury. Amakhosi head coach Arthur Zwane has confirmed that they are in the market for a striker and Hungarian forward Balint Bajner has been linked to undergo assessment at the Soweto giants.

However, the Glamour Boys have been urged to focus more on the style of play and principles of attack rather than rely on individuals for goals. Former Chiefs head coach Ernst Middendorp said in an interview on Marawa Sport Worldwide, that Mamelodi Sundowns are a perfect example of a team that is reaping the rewards of building the right attacking structure and principles that do not rely on a natural number nine.
Middendorp highlighted that Sundowns have been scoring goals without top striker Peter Shalulile and without a natural striker because they have developed a style of play over time.
"Is it always about the goal poacher? Is it always somebody that you can score goals only when you have a player who can kick the ball into the back of the net finally, everything depends on one person?" Middendorp quipped in the interview on MSW.
"I don't think so. I think there's a lot of parameter in terms of attacking main principles and if you watch, in the moment we have, in the country, we have an example where stuff goes different.
"Peter Shalulile is out six weeks and Sundowns wins 5-0, 4-0, 3-0, they score goals and goals without (a natural striker), that says something. What they are doing, the main principles on the attacking side, fantastic, the support for the ball possession player is fantastic," he said.

"If they go into the box, in the final third, it's never one against two or one against three. It's always at least four against four, five against four. Six players are around the box and picking up the second ball.
"Or pick the ball and produce a fantastic first chance. That means it's about a style, it's about something that you have to implement," he added.
