With Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong reportedly unhappy with his playing time at the Camp Nou, here is the latest regarding his future.
Furious With PSG? Mbappe Finally Breaks Silence
De Jong has started only six of the 11 games he has been available for so far for the Blaugrana this season, which has been a cause for concern for the Dutchman.
In the latest transfer window, Manchester United were determined to take the 25-year-old to Old Trafford, but the midfielder was decided to stay in Catalonia; however, it seems De Jong might now be regretting that decision.
According to Sport, the Dutchman could be evaluating leaving Barca as soon as January, with Liverpool now believed to be entering the race as contenders for his signature.
The Reds currently have four midfielders who will be out of contract come the end of the season, namely Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, James Milner and Arthur Melo.
Three of them are also currently injured and with Liverpool looking to make a resurgence in the Premier League following a poor start to the campaign, they will perhaps be looking to be proactive in the transfer market as soon as January to reinforce their midfield.
