Reports suggest that a Cristiano Ronaldo exit from Manchester United in January could have huge financial implications for the club.

According to The Sun, the Red Devils would avail more funds for Erik ten Hag to spend in January should they manage to sell Ronaldo.
The Portuguese international is currently on £480 000 (R9.6 million) wages and offloading him would make £30 million (R605 million) accessible to the Dutch tactician in the next transfer window.
With UEFA Champions League the expectation for next season, the United board are keen to supply Ten Hag with everything he needs to make that a reality.
As per Transfermarkt, the Mancunians already spent £210.2 million (R4.2 billion) this past transfer window bringing in the likes of Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro, but the same report suggests that the United hierarchy are eager to give Ten Hag another £70 million (R1.4 billion) to bolster the squad after the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup later this year.
The figure could rise all the way up to £100 million (R2 billion) should Ronaldo be sold.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner's appetite to leave Old Trafford was insatiable as his agent Jorge Mendes scoured Europe in hopes of getting his client to a team that was competing in the Champions League.
