Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Siphiwe Tshabalala, was once again amongst the finest players on the pitch in his team's draw against Baroka FC, and the numbers reflect how he stood out on the night.
"Baloyi Has Grabbed His Chance With Both Hands"
Tshabalala started in Steve Komphela's team yet again and proved to be highly effective as he made the key run and pass into the box that led to Erick Mathoho's opener, and was also the man to earn the penalty which Bernard Parker converted and put Chiefs in the lead again.
However, the match ended in a 2-2 draw, but that takes nothing away from the energetic performance from Tshabalala, that saw him play the most passes in the game. In fact, Tshabalala made 62 passes in total, with 77% (48) finding their intended target. Of the total, 26% of those passes went forward, 55% went sideward and only 19% were backwards, which goes to show how much value the dreadlocked midfielder adds to the Chiefs attack.
Joining Tshabalala in the charts for this weekend's top passers are Bokang Thlone (61), Lantshene Phalane (77) and Kwanda Mngonyama (44).
