Orlando Pirates have confirmed the signing of Jomo Cosmos defender, Gladwin Shitolo.
The Siya crew reported yesterday that the 24-year-old defender, who has been a key member of the Ezenkosi side for the last couple of seasons, had signed for the Buccaneers.
The Buccaneers have now confirmed the signing through their official website.
"Orlando Pirates football Club is delighted to announce the signing of defender Gladwin Shitolo. Shitolo joins the club from National first Division outfit Jomo Cosmos, a side he captained for a few seasons.
"The 24 year old defender comes to the Mighty Buccaneers with a wealth of experience, having represented South Africa at the Under20 and 23 levels, as well as the National Senior team, Bafana Bafana. He is expected to join the team for training this week," read a statement on the official Pirates website.
Shitolo is expected to be a back-up in central defence to the likes of Siyabonga Sangweni, Rooi Mahamutsa and Lucky Lekgwathi.
The 24-year-old defender joins Tebogo Masoale, Mashale Rantabane, Zukile Mkhize, Itumeleng Tlali and Philani Zikalala as the new faces in the Bucs team.
