A Siya source has revealed that Sundowns will only make a decision once transfer movements are finalised at the end of the season.
"The club scouts and recruiters are looking at different strikers who can fit into the Sundowns system both locally and abroad and they have considered Ashley (Cupido ) from Stellenbosch FC are this point. He is still young and has a great future and they feel that he could easily adapt to the way Sundowns plays. As I have said, the club is considering him if they lose one or two of their present strikers, " a source informed the Siya crew.

Meanwhile, suggestions are that Downs are prepared to allow players to take the step abroad if the offers are in line with the club's expectations.
"They won't just let all the four or three strikers leave. They will evaluate the offers on table first and the value those strikers add to the team before they let them go. And when that is done it's when they will consider Ashley Cupido. But as things stand, he is the first choice locally if they are to sign a striker, " the source revealed to Soccer Laduma.
Cupido, the former Cape Town Spurs forward, joined Stellenbosch FC at the start of the current season after attracting interest from clubs like Kaizer Chiefs.
The 23-year-old has since played 17 matches for Stellenbosch, scoring five goals.
