Former South Africa U20 coach Thabo Senong has been applauded by a Mzansi football legend for his contribution to the game.
In August last year, Senong was appointed by the national team of Lesotho as their head coach.
The appointment in a new role at the Mountain Kingdom, followed SAFA's decision of not renewing the coach's contract after it expired in June.
Former Kaizer Chiefs defender and Mzansi football legend Ntsie Maphike – who is also a coach – lauded Senong for his passion of the game.
Senong had been the coach of Amajita for five years from 2014 and nurtured a number of young players from development of their respective clubs to being household names in the Absa Premiership by giving them the experience at international football.
