Chiefs Draw, Swallows Remain Unbeaten And TTM Continue To Rise

Kaizer Chiefs continued with their winless run in, while Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila registered back-to-back league victories for the first time this season. Here is all the action in images from the weekend.

  • Chiefs remained in ninth place on the log after their 1-1 draw with SuperSport United at FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Reeve Frosler's stunning opener was cancelled out by Bradley Grobler's spot kick in the second half.
  • Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns were not in action over the weekend, with uncertainty surrounding their CAF Champions League group clash against Algerian outfit CR Belouizdad. Like Chiefs with Wydad Casablanca in Morocco, Sundowns were denied entry into Algeria and the game, which was set to be played on Tuesday, February 23, will now be played in another country.
  • Orlando Pirates booked their spot in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages after their 1-0 win over Jwaneng Galaxy of Botswana. The Buccaneers won the clash 4-0 on aggregate.
  • Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhadila continued their fine rise with another victory to move six points clear off the relegation zone, while Baroka FC registered a crucial 2-1 victory over Black Leopards. Cape Town City, Swallows FC, Chippa United and TS Galaxy collected one point in their matches.
