There is an important update in the court matter involving SAFA president Danny Jordaan following his latest appearance today.
Jordaan and his co-accused in Gronie Hluyo who is a Chief Financial Officer at SAFA, as well as businessman Trevor Neethling, appeared in the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court in Palm Ridge earlier today.

Following today's proceedings, the State has withdrawn the theft charges against Jordaan and both of his co-accused, although the SAFA boss still faces three charges of fraud and the other of conspiracy to commit fraud.
However, all three of the accused have denied the charges against them, with the indications that they intend to plead not guilty.

The matter has been postponed to August 15.
Meanwhile, Jordaan recently visited former Bafana Bafana coach Ephraim 'Shakes' Mashaba at a Johannesburg hospital on Wednesday where he has been recovering from an illness to award him with an Africa Cup of Nations bronze medal that was won by the South Africa senior national team almost 12 months ago.
