Kaizer Chiefs strategy to have a core of their players back with Bafana Bafana could have been revealed.
Since Hugo Broos took over the national team, Chiefs have been struggling to have at least two players in his squads, especially for competitive matches.
Amakhosi have had to settle with only one player or no players at all, as Rushwin Dortley's signing worked in their favour, as he had already impressed Broos playing for Cape Town Spurs, after he featured in the COSAFA Cup during the off-season.
There has been suggestions that the Glamour Boys' woes on the pitch had led to them not having enough representation in the national team.

However, the last time Amakhosi had a huge number at Bafana, was mainly also due to them having signed South African players from overseas, the likes of Bernard Parker, Siboniso Gaxa and Tsepo Masilela.
Amakhosi would be hopeful that their recent signing of Thabo Cele, who was based in Europe, would increase their representation in the national team.
"It's not news that Chiefs wanted him (Cele) three seasons ago and we've been communicating throughout the whole process, Thabo wanted to play longer in Europe but if you look at the national team selection, a lot of players Hugo Broos is selecting are South African based players," Cele's agent Gary Cassisa said on SoccerBeat YouTube Channel.

"And I came to a decision and said to Thabo, 'If we really gonna give the national team a good go and be serious about it, you need to come and play in South Africa, change mindsets and take an opportunity for the national team'.
"Chiefs was his childhood club he supported as a kid and he always wanted to play for Chiefs, that was always going to be first priority. In Russia he was performing, we had to find an opportunity to build on that, to make sure we secure a national team call-up. That's where Thabo's focus is at the moment to be honest," Cassisa revealed.
Cele, just like Dortley, has also previously impressed in his few matches in the COSAFA Cup and his call-up, when it comes, would be long overdue, having consistently performed in Europe for all his professional career.
