Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has been touted for a move to Premier League champions Liverpool.
The 20-year-old burst on to the scene at RB Salzburg in January 2019, scoring 29 goals in 27 games for the Austrian side before joining Dortmund in January this year, where he has found the back of the net 24 times in 27 appearances since.
Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund appeared on Sky Sports alongside Germany legend Lothar Matthaus recently, and spoke about the Norwegian international's future in football.
After Matthaus had suggested that the young striker might be a good match for Liverpool, Freund claimed that is where Haaland will eventually go.
"That's where he (Haaland) will land," he said.
"He can play for any club in the world.
"With his mentality, his will, with his self-confidence, he can make a mark on European football in the next 10 years."
