Let's take a closer look at what they had to say...

Comments

The Soweto Derby is the pick of the DStv Premiership fixtures this weekend and Amakhosi walk into it reeling from a 3-2 defeat to Golden Arrows.

Former Glamour Boy, Siphiwe Mkhonza said that Chiefs' current run of inconsistent results will pass. He also mentioned that people shouldn't be fooled by recent results, with Pirates walking into the clash at the back of a win over Maritzburg United.

The "Don't Be Fooled, Things Always Change In The Soweto Derby" story, sees Mkhonza state that form is irrelevant going into a Soweto Derby.

Here's how the readers reacted to his comments:

"Mkhonza will be crying come end of 90 minutes on Saturday," says thabotouchme.

"This is a wishful thinking but hey, no soldier ever goes to war with a negative mentality, which is of defeat, but hopes to conquer by all means!" says mosesndlalane13.

"Enjoy the underdog tag.. thats why they lost their game before the Derby, so they can be called the underdog... They're underdogs, so Pirates should go to Arows to ask them how to be an underdog team," says malandle35.

"Beware of the Trojan horse Buccaneers, because Chiefs' form will be your downfall," says userThautha.

Sundowns on the other hand are in Egypt this weekend to take on CAF Champions League rivals Al Ahly.

Downs keeper Denis Onyango shared his views on the encounter, which he regards as one of the biggest games on the continent.

Masandawana and Al Ahly have been offering some mouth-watering clashes in recent years and Onyango feels that it's always interesting to play the Egyptian giants and says the fixture between the two has become one of the biggest derbies in Africa.

Here's how the readers reacted on the "'Sundowns And Al Ahly, One Of The Biggest In Africa'" story:

"Great teams indeed, only Chiefs faithful's are hurt by this headline. Keep hurting while we Dawanas, keep celebrating wins for our team everyday.

"If you think Chiefs is a big team in Africa, what is it that they've achieved in Africa since this millenium? Keep hurting," says Cutter.

"It is such a great feeling to be supporting Sundowns in this lifetime. No stress, no petty football talks, kumnandi nje," says Shikabala.

"This is mammoth. Africa gets to witness the best football playing team against the biggest in the continent. Humongous affair, Al Ahly vs Downs, mouthwatering," says Abuti.

"We lead, they follow," says Saavedra.
