Let's take a closer look at what they had to say...

A former Mamelodi Sundowns player Brent Carelse feels its best for Khanyisa Mayo to stay put at Cape Town City to guarantee himself some game time.

The "Retired Star: Why City Star Should Not Join Sundowns" story, a couple of fans had plenty to say on the issue:

"Chiefs and Pirates are called the giants of the South African football because they used to sign the best players, locally and from abroad. No team could compete with them, to this day, these are the most sponsored teams in our league.

"These agents who are hiding behind the 'legendary' status must just make peace with the fact that times have changed and by the look of things, Sundowns dominance will continue for a while," says Shikabala.

"I guarantee game time for him is at Chiefs, where a player of his caliber is needed, that's if his father is trying by all means to take to Naturena. The thing is Bobby is saying nothing about this boy, so they is nothing they (Mayo's) can do if the team doesn't show interest in this boy. Finish and klaar.

"As Chiefs fans we do want to see this boy at Naturena cause we know how good he is," says Mlekeleli.

Cameroonian goalkeeper coach Ernest Mabouka weighed in on Simon Omossola's potential move to the Buccaneers and mentioned his worry over how he would be managed as a young keeper coming from a different country.

The "Pirates/Cameroonian Keeper Talk: The Only Thing I Am Scared Of" story, Pirates fans seem eager on signing the AS Vita shot-stopper:

"We need a top quality goalkeeper, Up The Bucs!" says morewasn.

"It's sad not to see our team not participating in a CAF tournament but if we can sign a top quality keeper to add and release Mpontshane, Dzvukamanja, Peprah and Nga, we have a good chance to challenge Sundowns.

"We don't have too much time to talk about building while Sundowns is busy winning the league," says Bucs365.

Lastly, a decade ago, Amakhosi revealed the signing on Eric "Tower" Mathoho in an unusual manner by using a mannequin that wore his number 3 jersey.

The defender wasn't anywhere to be seen at the time, because he was still in Limpopo.

He called the reveal "Amazing" on the "Finally, Mathoho Breaks His Silence On Chiefs Mannequin Unveiling" story, where fans took the opportunity to show their appreciation for the veteran:

"I'm so grateful that you still wearing my Khosi jersey, thank you for choosing us Tower," says Khosilogical.

"My Tower, you are the rock!" says mdu.mhlungu.

"We need such players like Mathoho who refused to be intimidated by the club Boss and an Agent. There is freedom of choice and associated in our Country. He chose Chiefs to get a good salary and game time," says Mr Soccer Enthusiast.
