Following his selection in Hugo Broos' preliminary Bafana squad, Siphelele Mkhulise now has to nurse an injury which puts his chances of making the final squad in jeopardy.
Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena revealed that Mkhulise is recovering from a knock he received in Cairo during their 2-2 draw against Al Ahly, and will miss the return fixture this weekend.
This news bizarrely prompted a reader to say that they don't want any Sundowns players in the Bafana squad. Take a look at the comments in the "Downs Midfielder Ruled Out, Bafana Spot In Doubt?" story:
"I don't want Sundowns players in Bafana Bafana, they are nothing but bad luck," ns1owam.
"Tell Broos to choose Ngezana, Kwinika,Hlanthi, Sithebe, Martin and Khune," replies Saavedra.
"What kind of bad luck is that, winning the Premiership six times in a row. I kinda like this bad luck. Chiefs is having good luck on their own, seven years of good luck for not winning anything. Wow! what a good luck," adds Bhekilekhuleni6.
"What happened to Sirino? is he injured or he is not in your plans..." asks Dawanadserielwinner in response to Rulani's quotes.

Jose Riveiro has sent out a message to the fringe players in his Orlando Pirates squad.
The likes of Fortune Makaringe, Evidence Makgopa, Ndumiso Mabena and Collins Makgaka haven't received much game time this season under the Spaniard this season.
Ahead of Pirates' Nedbank Cup fixture against Venda Football Academy this weekend, Riveiro has urged the fringe players to seize their opportunity.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Pirates Coach's Message To Fringe Players" story:
"I think the coach's system is the one delaying the team's success. Playing a lone striker makes it difficult to create space and get more chances to score.
"The coach has different kinds of strikers, where he can deploy even four in the same line up because they different. I have realized that the coach's strong point is to defend," says @Normz.
"Still not my coach..." says tbsafrica.
"So why is cowish Kabelo Dlamini getting more opportunities? Even our interim striker coach said Kermit is good but lacked supply. Isn't Kabelo the suppossed supplier?
"We will buy 1000 strikers, but with a useless number 10, the goals will never be scored at Bucs," says El Busnero - The Big RAT!
"Mabena should be given a chance, MaCowringe (Makaringe) can leave, not sure about the other two," says @ThizaK.
