Amakhosi last played in the CAF Champions League back in 2019, where they went down to Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahly outfit in the final.
Chiefs assistant coach Dillon Sheppard filled in for Arthur Zwane, who's felt a little bit under the weather yesterday, explained why a CAF Champions League birth would be great for the club.
Sheppard noted that a spot in the CAF Confederations Cup would also be good step for Amakhosi, the Champions League is where they see themselves.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Chiefs Desperate To Return To CAF Champions League" story:
"Chiefs must first topple Richards Bay before they can talk about Champions league, that can't be rocket science," says Shikabala.
"Coach you better get your players to play for the Club and it's Supporters, and not be comfortable with playing for Kaizer Chiefs where everybody in South Africa will know them and last but not least, not to play for themselves, their families and their women and women in general (laughing emojis)," says mthunzijack7.
A reader who's most likely being sarcastic simply said:
"CCL???" says Mpho P who isn't seeing Sheppard's vision for Amakhosi to be competing among the continent's finest.

Rulani Mokwena says he is inspired by former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson in giving youngsters some opportunities in the first team.
Cassius Mailula was promoted to the first team at the beginning of the season and has become an important member of Mokwena's squad, and sits on eight league goals, one behind Peter Shalulile.
Youth ballers Ntando Nkosi and Siyanda Nyanga featured against Stellenbosch last weekend, with Mokoena also noting the talents of Thando Buthelezi and Jerome Karelse.
Mokwena went on to quote Fergie by saying: "All that talent wants is the opportunity to be used."
Here's how the readers reacted in the "Rulani Takes Leaf Out Of Sir Alex Ferguson's Book" story:
"Rulani is the best coach in Africa," says Saavedra.
"Master Rulanihinho rules. Good for the club, great for the country. We have had trembling coaches and owners killing young talent everywhere. This is refreshing," says no1coachkm.
"The unfortunate part about these players is that, when a new coach takes over, they are likely to be loaned or sold.Pitso also had his youngsters and as soon as he left, those boys never played and were loaned," says Skyvodka.
