Reflecting on their 1-0 defeat to runaway league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, Jose Riveiro expressed his displeasure over the referees performance on that day.
After the final whistle last weekend, the Spaniard was seen having a go at match officials and also took a sly dig at them in his press conference on the "Pirates Coach Explains Issue With Refs In Downs Loss" story.
He also stated that being a ref must be incredibly difficult and its the last thing he'd want to do in the football business.
This how the readers responded:
"You cannot score on open play against Downs, now you want help from referees? Tjo, it is difficult to plan against the mighty Downs.. Now you are looking for soft penalties," says Dawanadserialwinner.
"As you said coach, refereeing is tough but the balance of fairness to every game would be nice. If you have made a mistake, you can't correct it in the other game because that one is a different match," says Bucs365.

Although he was let down by the result and the match officials, Riveiro was left encouraged by the quality shown from his team.
On the "Pirates Coach: Everyone Can Understand Who Was Better Why" story, Riveiro stated that if the Sea Robbers maintain the level shown against Downs, they won't drop too many points in the backend of the season.
Here's how the readers responded:
"Even Morgan Mammila was also convinced that Chippa played better than Sundowns," says Shikabala.
"You played better because you were playing against Sundowns and you lost again, as usual. Nothing fancy that Sundowns did on the day, they just beat Pirates and went home with all the points.
"Sundowns is still going to beat Pirates in this fashion for the next 5 seasons. Once we reach 10 PSL titles in a row, we'll then give Pirates at least 1 point in Orlando," says user250737.
"I concur with you coach, it was the first in a number of years to see Downs being dominated in that fashion, our ball playing keeper needs to be applauded for starting the mpves from the back, as opposed to kicking it forward where Sundowns always win such kind of goal kicks and apply the high pressing game when attacking," says benjmwaru3796.
"Locally Sundowns are a notch above everyone. All the other 15 teams still have a lot to work on. Proper player recruitment and a better working environment. Otherwise there are still many years of agony and near misses coming," says makhause2.
