Stan Matthews uncovered more details regarding Thatayaone Ditlhokwe's pre-contract deal with Kaizer Chiefs, stating that they were in discussions with the player before the World Cup break about extending his contract beyond June.
Matthews revealed that everything changed when 'TT' changed agents and mentioned that the Botswanan defender was the first player they've lost of a pre-contract in two decades.
On the "Matthews Opens Up On Ditlhokwe's Chiefs Deal: I Was Strung Along" story, a number of Chiefs fans weren't feeling any sort of sympathy for the Matsatsantsa CEO:
"I hope many more SuperSport players take this route," says mashaba.gezani.
"How many times did Chiefs knock on your door looking for players and you made it very difficult for them to get? Those players huh? knowing very well that you want to feed Sundowns... So remember, there's many way to kill a cat," says tmagoleng12
"Chiefs wanted to buy the player last month but he (Matthews) didn't accept both the offers yet he is now saying he didn't get any money from TT. It must be good to bad mouth Chiefs," says thabotouchme.
"You should have checked Sundowns because that's your marketing place. It's now painful because somebody who you were unwilling to sell to, has snatched a player from under your nose," says matemane.

It's understood that Kaizer Chiefs attempted a last-minute bid to prize away Mduduzi Mdantsane away from Cape Town City.
Before the January transfer window closed, the "Chiefs In Last-Ditch Attempt To Land City Star" story, saw the fans speculate in the comments on whether The Glamour Boys would get the deal over the line...
"Would be a great add for our left flank. Dolly needs competition too so that he can't be comfortable on the lineup," said SweetCase.
"Chiefs is always being given the cold shoulder by many PSL clubs when it comes to signing their players. I don't know whether it's Bobby's arrogance or it's the jealousy. It will be fortunate for it to be pulled off at this time," said matemane.
"If Chiefs can manage to get this Mdantsane Boy, all is forgiven, great Midfield player who can play that no 6 role as well as other positions across the midfield," said mthunzijack7.
