Orlando Pirates played to a goalless stalemate against SuperSport United on Wednesday evening.
The shared spoils have put the second-placed Buccaneers just three points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. Despite the draw, Bucs coach Milutin "Micho" Sredojevic said he was very proud of his charges' display against an experienced Matsatsantsa side who defended well, denying the Mayfair team any form of scoring opportunity.
Supporters Club members have responded to Micho's comment:
"No, Pirates never promised anyone the league. They have been clear from the get-go that they are still building. But, no, people chose not to believe it, so please leave Pirates out of it." – chiefs is useless
"Bucs must forget about the league, Sundowns have too much quality to lose the league this time." – MDANANA
"Orlando Pirates Football Club plays quality football. Thanks, Micho, for turning us into this quality side. I'm so proud of Bucs, SSU were lucky yesterday #UptheBucs." – Nhlpato
"We are also proud of you, coach. You have done more than enough this season. Bucs will be playing in CCL next season." – SowetoBOY
"We are also proud of you. The guys played very well. It is just that SSU has been reading the book of Komphela titled: 'Defend till 90 minutes' so it was going to be tough for us to get a goal. So keep on pressing them, we will see what will happen end of the season." – @SCHUSTE
Would you say the draw dashed Bucs' title hopes?
