Orlando Pirates legend Aubrey "Sense" Lekwane is in the building answering the rest of your questions. Sense also remebers the game they lost 3-2 to Italian Giants, AC Milan in 1993.
When you were playing for Swallows in 1997, you scored a brilliant goal against Sundowns and Screamer Tshabalala collapsed. How did you feel after hearing the news of Screamer's collapse? – LecowHloHlo vs mix vongani
Aubrey Lekwane: I felt very bad. Bra Stan loves the game and he has given a lot to South African football. I really felt that even though I never intended to hurt him or Sundowns, I was responsible for that. I really felt bad. I have a lot of respect for Bra Stan. He is the one who introduced the Piano and Shoeshine. I sometimes get annoyed when people always praise Pep Guardiola for tiki-taka and say nothing about Bra Stan's Piano and Shoeshine.
You played under Mike Mangena at Swallows. How was his coaching and leadership? – tebogo gm mahlaba
AL: (Laughs) He was a very aggressive coach, hey. Tactically he was very good, but a disciplinarian.
Do you remember the game against Cosmos where Pirates were trailing 3-1 and you came on and changed the game? – ndabz
AL: Yes, I remember it was a BP Top 8 quarter-final. We were playing in Durban. It was on Valentine's Day, 14 February 1993. I will never forget that game. It is one of my best games for Pirates.
Tell us about playing with the likes of Bashin, Tebza, Botsotso, Ivo Simunic, Oupa Mabuza, Nsunda, Kambala, Ian Palmer, Bazooka and Pio Nogueira; how was the experience? – Nhlpato
AL: Yhoo, they were all brilliant players. There were the likes of Black Sunday Masegela and Mandla Sithole too. Myself and Tebogo Moloi were the young stars in that team. I learned a lot from these great players and replacing some of them was not easy. But then after that we had the likes of Mkhalele and Brandon Silent, who introduced some speed in the game, and that's when we (the older guys) couldn't cope and most of the senior players left. They went on to win the CAF Champions League. Their arrival was the don of the new era.
Tell us about the game you played for Pirates against AC Milan; what do you remember about that game? – Mjuskei
AL: Remember, it was a year after we were accepted back by FIFA. They had 80% of the Italian national team. We lost that game 3-2. That game will never be forgotten by any of us who played that day. We had an Argentinian player, Osvaldo Natalo, who scored our second goal. Yhoo, what a game that was!
