Mamelodi Sundowns came away with a point in Cairo following a blockbuster 2-2 draw against Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
After the CAF Champions League match, Mokwena responded to critics about the club's credentials on the continent's biggest club competition after falling short in the last seasons.
Mokwena said that it would be unfair to judge his current team on the club's past results in the tournament and that they deserve a chance to gain experience and to compete.
Here's how the readers replied to the "Rulani Hits Back At Sundowns Critics Following Al Ahly Draw" story:
"Coach we won't stop criticizing you if you continue to field players based on favoritism not based on form. Why the out of form Mkhulise? and Motupa not Sundowns material.
"Remember critics will build you to be strong. What has Jali, Domingo and Sirino did to you?" says bhekilekhuleni6.
"We have teams struggling to remove Richards Bay from 3rd position since the beginning of the season, that's something to talk about," says Shikabala.
"Good response Rulani, Downs have fairly new faces and are proving to have grasped what is expected of them. The boys are showing hunger and fighting spirit. It's good that senior players are playing part in guiding new additions.
"Football is a game of luck. Downs are determined to make it work. Hence they qualify season after season. Good luck," says Abuti.
"It's true, Sundowns only qualify and fail to reach the finals of the CAF Champions League. They will never win it again, its not like the DStv Premiership, even in the league they haven't been convincing this year but I see Mokwena taking them back to square one," says oupa.phiri27.

Kaizer Chiefs' Edmilson Dove came back in style after a Man of the Match showing in a 1-0 against Orlando Pirates on Saturday.
In his post-match comments, Dove mentioned that it was key for them to halt Pirates' fleet-footed and skilled wingers and that it helped to keep a compact back-line.
Here's how the readers responded in the "Chiefs Star: We Knew We Had To Stop Saleng, Lorch Pule" story:
"That Soweto Derby was boring, both teams were playing nonsense. Pirates was having useless ball positions at the back, not moving forward, while chiefs was waiting to just kick the ball up in the sky and hoping for the best," says Slowpoison.
"I think Ndah deserved Man of the Match award and his goal should be the goal of the season, credit to you ntate Ndah," says khosilannete0.
"The game didn't have that thing... it was below par, it doesn't deserve a Man of the Match," says lebodi.mabena.
