Former Orlando Pirates left back Patrick Phungwayo has found a new home at Free State Stars after officially parting ways with the Mayfair-based outfit last week. The 29-year-old will be looking to get his career back on track after a tough spell with the Buccaneers.
The supporters have had mixed reactions to Phungwayo's move to Ea Lla Koto...
"The boy is good, but he was a little overrated, nje. I wish him all the best at Stars." – luda96
"Time to resurrect his career…" – mosesmu
"Now it's time for Phungwayo to prove Pirates wrong..." – Nganga
"Luc Eymael, you need to be careful with that boy, he will shoot you if you ever shout at him!" – mbixane
"Give him a few weeks and you will realise why we let him go." – BIG-MIKE14_VERSUS EDITOR ROUND2
"I hope they have confiscated his illegal gun before he could start training because this Tembisa boy is dangerous, he has an attempted murder case hanging over his head." – chiefs is useless
"Phungwayo will excel at Free State Stars. Personally, I think most good players fail at these so called "big teams" because of the pressure they put themselves in and the pressure from the fans…" – Pirlo91
"Phungwayo was one of the best left backs in Mzansi, but he went to a team that didn't need him, Nomandela also went to Downs and didn't play. I mean, if you are not needed at a team, then you better stay with your old team." – Bakayoko
Do you think that the move to Stars will be bring the best out of Phungwayo?
