Let's take a closer look...

Siya sources have indicated that Chiefs will put certain players on a transfer list to cut their squad down before the start of the season.

The decision on who will be on the list could be made after Amakhosi's final pre-season friendly against Botswanan outfit Township Rollers.

Chiefs will reportedly look to sell and loan a few players after using the friendly against Yanga to give players an opportunity to impress and as a deciding factor for the transfer list.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Chiefs Set To Decide Who To Transfer" story:

"As usual the unfortunate ones will be sacrificed. But Crèche will not win you Cups, Arsenal in particular have since learned and dropped this trend," says makhause(2).

"The prophets of doom have spoken. I am trying to figure out according to the statement, 'Chiefs set to decide'. I understand they won't mention the affected players on the media. They know especially the coach who was a director and was watching the mistakes by goalkeepers, defenders, midfield players and strikers.

"He knows who to let go. This is also happening abroad. Messi, Mbappe, Neymar, Mane and players at Man City are leaving. Same thing applies here at home," says Soccer Fanatic.

"Thumbs up to the cutting down of the squad. At the most we need 27 players since we are not engaged in any continental games.

"We have long built our brand. We will not hoard players in the name of depth. There was a time we won the then Mandela Cup with only four players on the bench. The key is signing the right players, be it they're free or bought," says gsithole.

"Hahahaha. You are just uncomfortable of being told the truth, you produce fictional motivational trite banal statements of 'dragging yourself' to a level of other people factual opinions.

Face it, a future is bleak buddy with your Ntseki at helm, it's gonna get worse to a point of relegation," replies His Majesty Yellow PSL Beast.

"CHIEFS IS IN CRISIS," says Saavedra.

"They are starting to panic even before the start of the league. Shame," says peter95157.

Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki was left impressed with his chargers despite their 1-0 defeat to Yanga SC on Saturday.

Fans got a glimpse of the type of football that will be played under Molefi Ntseki, with new players Edson Castillo, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Given Msimango, Pule Mmodi and Tebogo Potsane making their debuts for the Glamour Boys.

The ex-Bafana Bafana coach says it was a good exercise for his players in front of 60 000 supporters at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium and says they lived up to expectation.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Ntseki Encouraged After Chiefs Defeat" story:

"Such comments are an indication the Coach is already feeling the heat," says makhause(2).

"If the coach is impressed by losing then it means even the Khosi faithful are going to be impressed throughout the long season hey," says pgyakeni.

"Let's just say it's pre-season. As always Chiefs is looking for cash, not results. For a friendly match they must made a lot of money from that game with gate takings and TV rights," says msanisto.

"I don't think it's ever a good thing to keep a former coach assisting the current one. It's a recipe for disaster. Only Shepperd should be Ntseki's assistant because Zwane, as bitter as he was while working under Baxter, what's going to stop him from sabotaging Molefi?

"This is a bad, bad combination of a technical team. Watch this space as we do battle in the league," says millionsoth.

"A coach impressed by a defeat of such a team, this is a shock of epic proportions! it's going to be a long season for Ntseki's hopefuls. People are gonna die slow death here," says His Majesty Yellow PSL Beast.

"It's still a shame watching Chiefs play. You can only feel sorry for them. They play football with no purpose, flair or direction.

"The coach is going to be impressed a lot during the upcoming season, " says Crazyk04.

"He will be impressed the whole season by losing," says peter95157.

"What exactly would you be happy about because we looked lost the whole game. You had no plan, nothing. Chiefs is going to fight for top 8 and you will be lucky if you finish the season," says Igmahlangu1992.

"The plumber is impressed by losing," says Saavedra.

"He is impressed that they did not concede more than 1 goal against an unknown team," says Dominate-downs.

"Pleased!? I think this is just a cover up for that poor display of football," says Sir_Zovic.
