Kaizer Chiefs will have a chance to revive their hopes of qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup when they visit SuperSport United in the DStv Premiership on Saturday afternoon.

DStv Premiership

Teams: SuperSport United v Kaizer Chiefs

Date: 13 May 2023

Venue: Royal Bafokeng Stadium

Time: 15h00

Chiefs are still smarting from being knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by rivals Orlando Pirates last weekend and also being beaten by Swallows in the league prior to the cup defeat in another Soweto derby.

The loss to Swallows all but ended Amakhosi's chances of qualifying for the CAF Champions League.

Arthur Zwane's charges are lying fourth on the log, four points behind third-placed SuperSport United, with two games to go and anything other than a win will rule them out of contention for the CAF Confederation Cup going to the final day of the season.

Matsatsantsa, on the other hand, have been steady in the league as they extended their unbeaten run to five matches after playing to a goalless draw against Stellenbosch almost two weeks ago.

Gavin Hunt's charges still have a chance of qualifying for the CAF Champions League, as they are two points behind second-placed Orlando Pirates.

United will keep their chances of competing for the CAF Champions League spot alive if they win and in that case will qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup.

A draw will also be enough for Matsatsantsa to qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup.

Amakhosi got the better of United in the first round clash 2-1 as they rallied from behind after Grant Margeman scored early for the Tshwane side.

Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana got the equaliser for Chiefs late in the first stanza and scored again early in the second stanza to snatch the three points for Zwane's men and completed his brace.

Here's how they line up:
