Mamelodi Sundowns will be looking to bounce back in the CAF Champions League when they visit Maniema Union in the penultimate group clash on Saturday afternoon.
CAF Champions League
Teams: AS Maniema v Mamelodi Sundowns
Date: 11 January 2025
Venue: Stade des Martyrs de la Pentecote.
Sundowns lost their first game in Group B after narrowly going down 1-0 against Raja Casablanca.
The Brazilians ended the game with nine men and ten, after Bathusi Aubaas and Khuliso Mudau got red-carded. Aubaas and Mudau are therefore suspended against Maniema.
The Tshwane giants are lying second in the group with five points, three points behind leaders FAR Rabat.
The Congolese outfit are also coming off their first defeat in the section after they were beaten 2-0 by FAR Rabat last weekend.
The Green and Blacks, however, are yet to win, following three successive draws prior to their loss and are placed bottom of the group with three points, just two points behind Sundowns.
The sides played to a goalless draw in their first clash of the group in November last year in Tshwane.
