The Brazilians were scheduled to get face Sekhukhune United in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals on Saturday, but the clash had to be postponed due to another fixture taking place at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Coach Miguel Cardoso may have been happy to see his side get some rest, having previously spoken about his side's congested fixture in February.
In the league, Sundowns will be aiming to get back on the winning trail after playing to a 1-1 draw against Golden Arrows last week.
