As Soweto Derby fever grips South Africa once again, Kaizer Chiefs legend Fani Madida has boldly predicted a 2-1 victory for his former club against Orlando Pirates this Saturday.

This much-anticipated clash, often referred to as the "biggest game in African football," could set the tone in the race for a Caf Champions League spot.
With Mamelodi Sundowns dominating the table in first place, there is still high value in qualifying for the CAFCL with second spot in the PSL.
Others have questioned the derby's significance due to the current positions of the two teams, but Madida remains confident of a Chiefs resurgence.
"It's going to be two goals this time around, probably Pirates are going to score one or not score at all because you see the stage Chiefs are at right now, you can't go lower than this stage you are," Madida said on the SuperSport Unplugged podcast on YouTube.
However, Pirates had secured victories in both the Nedbank Cup semi-final and the first league meeting this season, with Evidence Makgopa scoring the winner in November.
"A performance and a win will help because they need this motivation to win the derby to change their fortunes and the position they are at.
"But they need a lot of commitment, focus and a lot of luck. So, I'm going for a 2-1 win to Chiefs," Madida stated.
Chiefs finally secured their first win of 2024 on Tuesday, defeating Golden Arrows courtesy of a wonder strike from youngster Wandile Duba. This victory serves as a glimmer of hope for Amakhosi fans as they approach the Soweto Derby.
Confidence was low after getting knocked out of this season's Nedbank Cup against lower division side, Milford FC so the Arrows result was quite vital earlier in the week.
