With Siyabonga Mpontshane in fine form for Orlando Pirates in recent weeks, the club's number one Richard Ofori has now opened up on the stern competition between the two goalkeepers for a starting berth.

Mpontshane has shown in Pirates' last two matches that not only is he a reliable deputy, but that he can stake a claim for the Pirates number one jersey in the absence of Ofori, who has been battling with injury.
The veteran goalkeeper has kept two clean sheets against Golden Arrows and Mamelodi Sundowns, respectively.
Now, with the Soweto derby looming and questions remaining over who will be given the nod, Ofori has opened up on the competition between himself and Mpontshane, saying that the competition is not with other Pirates goalkeepers, but rather within himself.
"The most important thing is that we fight as a team, we win as a team and we move as a team because most of the time I say I don't mostly do competition wherever I go. I compete with myself, that is what I always do, so its not anything. We fight as a team, we move as a team," he told journalists at the club's Marriott Bonvoy partnership announcement in Melrose Arch.
"So far as it doesn't matter who plays, as long as at the end of the day you make the Orlando Pirates family proud and they will make our family proud. But competition or whatever, I don't compete, I always compete with myself, so I don't see anything on that," he explained.
