Highlands Park v Kaizer Chiefs (Absa Premiership)

League rankings: Chiefs 12th Highlands Park 6th

Useful facts: Highlands Park will come into this game with a high level of confidence, after winning their first game of the season against Baroka and with Charlton Mashumba and Collins Mbesuma both scoring on debut. They will hope to compound the woes of a Kaizer Chiefs team that hasn't won in six games, since the 27th of April. There is no recent historical precedent for this game, but Allan Freese will be hoping to set a favourable one for his team and – if recent form is anything to go by – Highlands could create history for themselves.

Mike Mangena: Chiefs.

Mamelodi Sundowns v Chippa Utd (MTN8)

League rankings: Sundowns 9th Chippa 3rd (Absa Premiership)

Useful facts: Sundowns will still go into this game as favourites, despite Chippa's effort which started a winless streak of three games and ended Pitso Mosimane's team's incredible run from the end of last season. The Brazilians will still feel good after their goalless draw a week-and-a-half ago, having won five of their eight games against the Chilli Boys and lost none.

Mike Mangena: Chippa.

Maritzburg Utd v SuperSport Utd (Absa Premiership)

League rankings: Maritzburg 5th SuperSport 14th

Useful facts: SuperSport come in with an advantage, having won three of their last six against the Team of Choice. However, Maritzburg are in better form and have won and drawn their first two games, while SuperSport have a loss and a draw. Interestingly, Maritzburg have scored 10 to SuperSport's eight in their previous six encounters, which may mean that lots of goals can be expected.

Mike Mangena: SuperSport.

Real Madrid v Villarreal (La Liga)

League rankings: Real Madrid 1st Villarreal 5th

Useful facts: Zinedine Zidane's men look set to continue their 16-match winning streak against a Villarreal side that have beaten them only once in the last three years. At home, Los Blancos have fared incredibly well, with five wins and 21 goals from their last six against the Yellow Submarine in the Bernabeu. Villarreal, on the other hand, are in decent form and have avoided defeat in all four of their games this season, including back-to-back victories over the past two match days. However, stopping the Real Madrid juggernaut will be far easier said than done.

Mike Mangena: Real Madrid.

Barcelona v Atletico Madrid (La Liga)

League rankings: Barcelona 2nd Atletico 6th

Useful facts: Two Spanish giants clash again in a showdown that has favoured the Catalans in recent years, with Luis Enrique's team having won five of the last six against their opponents. However, Barcelona won't have fond memories of their last home game against Alaves, where they fell to a 2–1 defeat. They have, however, won eight of their last nine league games, including last weekend's 5–1 win over Leganes, yet it may be difficult to break down Diego Simeone's back four, who have kept clean sheets in eight of their last 10 league matches.

Mike Mangena: Barcelona.
