Volta Football Getting Major Updates In FIFA 21

Volta Football Getting Major Updates In FIFA 21

FIFA 21 will be looking to build on the social experience with friends, including a revamped Volta football experience.

The reveal trailer dropped earlier this week, giving fans a glimpse at the next edition of the annual football game, and the developers, EA SPORTS, have now detailed a number of the new changes.

In a statement to the media, EA SPORTS said, "Playing football with friends is why people love the sport so much. In FIFA 21, players can jump into a more social street football experience with VOLTA SQUADS, a new way for four players to join together or drop into the community with other VOLTA FOOTBALL players and win as one in 5v5 online cooperative play. In FIFA Ultimate Team, team up with friends online and compete for rewards with FUT Co-Op to enjoy new ways to play the most popular mode in the game."

Aaron McHardy, Executive Producer, EA SPORTS FIFA, added, "This year, we are bringing fans together through social experiences that elevate both the small-sided experience and the excitement felt on the professional pitch, offering the most authentic and interactive EA SPORTS FIFA experience to date. Along with one of the biggest updates to career mode yet and enhanced gameplay realism that continues to bridge the gap between the real and virtual world of football, fans have more ways than ever to play the beautiful game of football we all love."

Volta arrived on the scene in FIFA 20, and scratched the itch for those who remember playing FIFA Street on previous consoles.

EA SPORTS have said that Volta will deliver a more realistic and rewarding experience in FIFA 21, with a focus on game pace and intelligent movement from your squad. You'll also get more customisation with Volta Avatars, as well as 20 pitches across six continents with the aim being to capture the soul of the streets.

If you were a fan of The Journey which featured on FIFA 18 and FIFA 19, then the addition of a narrative story into Volta may intrigue you.

"Discover the world of street football through the narrative-based storyline, THE DEBUT, that features some of the biggest names in the game, including legendary footballer, Kaká and world-renowned freestyler, Lisa Zimouche," added the developers.

There is a lot more to come on FIFA 21 in the weeks and months ahead, so stay glued to SL Gaming for more information.
