Dolly's Coaching Future: Following Parker's Footsteps

Dolly's Coaching Future: Following Parker's Footsteps

TS Galaxy are already looking beyond Keagan Dolly's playing career and have long-term plans in place for the 32-year-old midfielder once he decides to hang up his boots.

The Mbombela-based club is keen for Dolly to follow in the footsteps of Bernard Parker and Vuyo Mere, who both enjoyed successful playing careers at Galaxy before transitioning into coaching roles at the club.

Dolly joined Galaxy in November last year, and after a slow start due to fitness issues, he has firmly established himself as a key figure in coach Adnan Beganovic's side.

The talented midfielder has made 14 appearances this season, scoring three goals, including two in back-to-back games against Golden Arrows and SuperSport United. His vision and creativity have made him a vital part of Galaxy's midfield setup, and he continues to deliver on the field.

When Dolly initially signed with Galaxy, it was on a one-year deal, with an option for an additional year. As the season progresses and Dolly maintains his form, the possibility of a contract extension has become more likely. However, the club's vision for Dolly goes beyond just his playing career.

Siya Sources have confirmed that Galaxy have already identified a potential coaching role for him once he decides to retire.

This strategic approach mirrors the path of Parker and Mere, who both played well into their 30s and transitioned to coaching roles within the club. Galaxy sees immense value in experienced players like Dolly, and the club is keen on integrating them into its future coaching structure.

For now, Dolly continues to contribute significantly to Galaxy's on-field efforts. But with a potential contract extension and a coaching role in the future, his legacy at the club is set to extend far beyond his playing days.
