Orlando Pirates are expected to release one or two strikers to bring in a new player, according to insiders privy to information.
Cape Town Spurs forward Tremaine Eastmond is the player linked to Pirates, and Soccer Laduma recently discussed factors where Bucs may or may not be looking to sign the player.

Now, Siya sources in Gauteng have indicated that since the 20-year-old former Burnley FC youth team player has been training with the Houghton based club, the technical team is impressed with what they are seeing from him during training so far.
The source added how the existing number of strikers at Pirates is a potential stumbling block but Bucs have time to find a solution.
"The boy is good. He is very good. You really wonder how and why Cape Town Spurs were not using him. At training he is scoring goals left, right and centre. He has impressed everyone," said the Siya source.
"From the technical team to the players and management. Obviously the way things are, they are going to sign him. They will apparently tie him down now but may only start using him next season.
"But for them to do that they want to release some strikers as well. One or two strikers will go to accommodate the youngster. As of now, there is no doubt that they will sign him. I see no reason why they can't sign him, seriously," the source told Soccer Laduma.
A second Siya source stated that the same way Pirates had identified Sipho Chaine and Thalente Mbatha when they were not playing at their previous clubs, is the same scouting method they have used on Eastmond.
"I think their scouting and recruiting department is thinking outside the box now. They are looking at talent which most teams are not looking at. They did the same with Sipho (Chaine) and Thalente (Mbatha).
"They did a great job there and if they sign Eastmond they would have pulled another great surprise and that's why they gave him the chance to train with the team and he is doing very well. His signing is imminent and looks very good right now," the source observed.
From the 2020-21 season, Eastmond had played 27 games for Burnley Under-18s and scored four goals with four assists during two-year period there. Then he went on to surprisingly join Cape Town Spurs in October 2023.
However, he was not in coach Ernst Middendorp's plans and Pirates had then invited him to train with them.
Soccer Laduma contacted Pirates for a comment but no response was received by the time this story was published.
