Polokwane Preparing To Bolster Their Attack

Currently playing for ABC Motsepe League side Sinenkani FC in the Eastern Cape, the 27-year-old has caught the attention of the PSL side.

"At the moment it's just the interest from Polokwane City. It's believed that their scouts and recruiters have watched him play and he has been scoring goals for his team in the ABC Motsepe League in the Eastern Cape and they think he can help them next season. They are looking at strengthening their striking department with an experienced striker and Thando (Khwela) fits the bill," the insider told the Siya crew.

A second source stated that Black Leopards, another team from Limpopo competing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, are also believed to have shown interest in Khwela.

"I think both teams have seen what he can do and they believe he can help them. Yes it's not only Polokwane City but also Black Leopards though it seems City are in the forefront on this one," the second source revealed.

It remains to be seen how Polokwane's potential preparations for Khwela would affect the future of Bafana Bafana star Oswin Appollis in their team.

Soccer Laduma reached out to both City and Leopards for comment, but there was no response at the time of publication.
