News reaching the Siya crew is that Mamelodi Sundowns could decide to continue for next season without Lyle Lakay in their plans.

While Lakay tried to explain that what he said in one of the interviews might have been interpreted inaccurately as it sounded like he was talking bad about the Chloorkop-based club, it would seem that some of the comments didn't sit well with the former African champions, according to informants.
"Like any player on loan, Lyle Lakay is expected to return to Sundowns at the end of the deal. However, due to some of the comments in the media and stuff like that, the club could decide to have the loan deal extended. He has done well so far at Cape Town City. Sundowns will decide on him and other players in his position at the end of the season as the club has various options for the left-back position," revealed a source.
